We work with and for three stakeholder groups to improve the quality of life for all Philadelphians:

The City of Philadelphia

The Philadelphia City Fund works to build the capacity of municipal projects and programs that address Philadelphia’s greatest needs. As an independent nonprofit organization, the Fund enables City agencies to vie for private support through the use of our 501(c)(3) umbrella. We provide strong financial management and performance, and the administrative infrastructure to act quickly and flexibly, helping to build and sustain the City’s priority programs.

Private Sector and Individual Funders

The Philadelphia City Fund serves as a vehicle for individuals, foundations, and corporations to contribute to City projects and programs. We transparently steward private and individual funds, acting as the backbone structure for public-private partnerships that benefit innovative City programs. By leveraging private sector support with the scale and the resources of the public sector, we help increase the value and impact of philanthropic contributions.

The Public

Through our Community Fund, we invest in community-led projects that address and benefit local needs, and we celebrate the success of the many public initiatives that keep our city moving forward toward a healthy, prosperous, and sustainable future.
