Our Impact

At the Philadelphia City Fund, we play an important role in fostering sustainable change in our city.

As the dedicated fiscal sponsor for the City of Philadelphia, we facilitate public-private partnerships that make it possible for City programs to thrive. We build capacity and enhance the City’s ability to act quickly and flexibly in administering more than 330 programs that improve life for all Philadelphians.

As a grantmaker, we offer an annual funding opportunity to small-scale community-based organizations, with around 10-15 organizations supported each year through grants that help to launch or sustain programs that address Philadelphia’s greatest areas of need. Additionally, through two grant cycles that fund around five to seven projects per year, we empower City employees to conceive of and launch pilot initiatives that have the potential to make the delivery of municipal services more efficient, effective, and equitable for all residents.
